200 Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training

This a comprehensive Ashtanga Yoga instructor training in the Ashtanga primary series, designed in accordance with the 200 hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. At the end of this Ashtanga yoga course you will be a Certified Ashtanga Yoga Instructor, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. You will be qualified to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
The Yoga Teacher Training Program gives yoga teachers the skills to work intelligently with new students who wish to learn the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series and with seasoned students who wish to deepen their practice and move in to the Intermediate Series.

What You Will Learn

Asana Adjustments
Asana Adjustments

Adjustments are an important part of the training. You will be learning to adjust, start with small corrections and focus on foundations. You will also be leaning how adjust with caution, care and compassion.

The Primary series

As a part of the training you will learning to give a class of 1.5 HRs to a beginner ashtanga student, with proper Sanskrit counts, Drishti, Indicators and adjustments. This will also be supervised by the main teacher Mahesh Chandra

Yoga is not really a philosophy but a way of living. In these classes we go into the depth of the Yoga sutras intending to deepen our search for the self. At the end of these classes you really be in a position to contemplate and meditate on the real purpose of Ashtanga Yoga (8 limbs of yoga).

The Practice

You will be taking up Daily Mysore style practice under the guidance of Mahesh Chandra. He will be supervising, adjusting and interacting with you personally in each class

Pranayama and Meditation

In these classes you will learn how the life force contained in the breath helps us to be conscious aware and yet at the same time makes us sensitive and compassionate to all beings around . Pranayama is not only holding the breath but also the awe and wonderment which happens with the expansion of your senses to the external.

Meditation teachniques at abhijna are non serious, playful techniques theses are meant to help us discover the essence of yoga; witnessing. The main focus of all the teachniques which you will learn will help you to find your center through which you can relate ,enjoy and be in bliss.
